Our goal is
to provide you with useful information about our group that we hope will make it
easier for you to cope with your loss.
The Bereaved Parent Group has been caring for Bereaved families from 3B since
1995. We offer a number of different support services for these Families. 3B is
a Total Care Unit, that is based at Princess Margaret Hospital for Children and
incorporates facilities for Children and Families from diagnosis through
treatment and beyond for children with Cancer and related Blood Disorders.

WHAT IS THE BPG?
It began in 1995, with five mums whose children had died, and who
first met while their children had been on 3B. We were struggling to cope with
the pain and trauma of our loss, and looked to each other for support.
We acknowledge that grieving is individual and value the way that is right for
you. Because we have experienced the pain, trauma and loss of our child's
illness and death, we know something about how it might be for other parents,
and about what might help, we are in a unique position to listen and support
each other.
